3. Eligibility and Registration

3.1 General Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in Kenya

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials

3.2 Farmer Registration

Must possess valid agricultural licenses where required by Kenyan law
Must comply with Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) regulations
Must provide proof of land ownership or valid farming permits
Agree to quality standards and food safety requirements

3.3 Business Registration

All commercial users must be registered with the Registrar of Companies or Business Names in Kenya
Must possess valid KRA PIN and comply with tax obligations
Must obtain relevant business licenses as required by County Governments

Marketplace Services

• Product listing and catalog management
• Order processing and transaction facilitation
• Payment processing integration

Agricultural Tools

• Market price information
• Weather data and agricultural advisories
• Crop management tools
• Business analytics and reporting

5. User Obligations and Conduct

Prohibited Activities

Users shall not:

Provide false or misleading information
List products that violate food safety standards
Engage in fraudulent transactions
Upload harmful or malicious content
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Interfere with Platform security or functionality

Product Standards

Farmers must ensure:

Products meet Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) requirements
Compliance with food safety regulations
Accurate product descriptions and pricing
Proper handling and storage practices

6. Financial Terms

6.1 Platform Fees

Service fees are charged as a percentage of successful transactions
Payment processing fees apply as per third-party providers
Premium service subscriptions available for enhanced features

6.2 Payments

All transactions processed through licensed payment service providers
Compliance with Central Bank of Kenya regulations
Support for mobile money (M-Pesa, Airtel Money) and bank transfers
Payment disputes resolved according to established procedures
